Emmanuel Olowookere: Where Shoreditch creativity meets Yorùbá heritage.

Founded by Emmanuel Olowookere a shoreditch based property entrepreneur, lifelong creative and the founder of The Prince of Shoreditch Cultural House. He studied 3D Design and Art, and in 2007 started his first venture making T-shirts in the shoreditch Village Underground arches — selling them at Camden Market with his brother. Shoreditch was never just a postcode. It was his classroom.

Emmanuel was raised in foster care. His British foster mother Penelope Ball was a woman of extraordinary generosity — a quiet, selfless spirit who dedicated her life to helping others and bringing people together. From his biological parents he inherited tenacity, a fierce work ethic and an unshakeable belief in never giving up. These two inheritances — one of love, one of resilience — run through everything he builds.

Running alongside that is a proud British-Nigerian identity and a deep Yorùbá royal lineage. His grandfather, His Royal Majesty Sir Olateru Olagbegi II, the Olowo (King) of Owo Kingdom in Nigeria, was one of the most influential traditional rulers of the twentieth century — knighted by Queen Elizabeth II in 1960, and a leader whose dignity and vision Emmanuel carries with him still.

The Prince of Shoreditch Cultural House was born to bridge these worlds: royal heritage and East London creativity, community and enterprise, history and the future. It is conceived as a living cultural archive — a place to connect, create and inspire the next generation.

Shoreditch is the intended setting for our cultural vision, informed by its vibrant art, design, and entrepreneurial spirit. We aim to contribute a distinctive heritage-led identity and contemporary cultural experience to this dynamic area.

We have a building in Shoreditch currently under investigation. No acquisition has been agreed, and the final location is not confirmed. This project remains in development, building relationships and exploring feasibility.
